# Overview

To operate the Chargeback Recovery flow end-to-end, Forter requires access to your payment processors. This access allows us to:

- **Receive chargeback notifications** directly from the processor (when available)
- **Monitor dispute activity** and triage failures
- **Submit representments** and supporting evidence on your behalf

# How to Grant Access

For each processor you use, create a new user account for Forter with access to:

Typical permissions required:

- Disputes/chargebacks
- Transactions/reporting
- Evidence upload (if applicable)

Use the following details when creating the user:

- **Email**: [processors+customerName@forter.com](mailto\:processors+customerName@forter.com), (for example [processors+Forter@forter.com](mailto\:processors+Forter@forter.com) or [processors+googleslides@forter.com](mailto\:processors+googleslides@forter.com))
 - If you are unable to use [processors+customerName@forter.com](mailto\:clara.sloane+customerName@forter.com), please use [clara.sloane+customerName@forter.com](mailto\:clara.sloane+customerName@forter.com)
- **Name**: Forter Chargebacks
- **Phone**: 1-800-537-0601
- **Address**: 575 Fifth Avenue, 29th Floor, New York, NY 10017

If you are setting up **American Express (Amex),** please use the following email address and reach out to your Forter Implementation Engineer

[customer\_name\_amex@forter.com ](mailto\:customer_name_amex@forter.com)for example ([Forter\_Amex@forter.com](mailto\:Forter_Amex@forter.com))
:::

Some processors may require you to contact support to enable user creation or grant dispute permissions.

Please follow your processor’s standard user management process or see detailed platform-specific instructions.

Once the account is created, please notify your Forter Implementation Engineer so we can verify access and begin monitoring your chargebacks.

Once set up, Forter will monitor your processor portal for new claims and begin submitting dispute packages where applicable.

 - **View Payments** — allows Forter to look up the payments tied to disputes
 - **Merchant Dispute Management** — allows Forter to view and manage chargebacks/RFIs and upload supporting evidence
7. Review and confirm by clicking **Add partner**, then acknowledge responsibility for the addition

:::hint{type="info"}
Setting up a partner user requires the **Merchant admin** role (or **Merchant user management**) on your own Adyen account, along with access to the merchant accounts and roles you're assigning to Forter.
:::

In addition to user access, you’ll also need to set up an [Adyen API Key](docId\:p_madS2CDE8fbW-iKOqDl)

### Worldpay - Vantiv

Worldpay's eComm **iQ Reporting and Analytics** portal (formerly Vantiv) does not let merchants create their own users. Instead, you request the Forter user by submitting Worldpay's **iQ User Request Form** to Worldpay Customer Service.

To grant Forter access:

1. Request the **iQ User Request Form** (an Excel spreadsheet) from your Worldpay Relationship Manager, or from Worldpay Customer Service at [ecommcustomercare@worldpay.com](mailto\:ecommcustomercare@worldpay.com)
2. Complete the form using the user details provided earlier in this guide:
 - **Employee name**: Forter Chargebacks
 - **Job title**: Chargeback Analyst
 - **Phone**: 1-800-537-0601
 - **Time zone**: Eastern Time (New York)
 - **Email**: [processors+customerName@forter.com](mailto\:processors+customerName@forter.com)
 - **Address**: 575 Fifth Avenue, 29th Floor, New York, NY 10017
3. Note the following permissions on the form:
 - **Search transactions** — allows Forter to look up the transactions tied to disputes
 - **View chargeback** — allows Forter to view your chargeback cases
 - **View chargeback dispute inbox** — gives Forter access to the Dispute Inbox where cases are worked
 - **Update chargeback** — allows Forter to respond to cases and attach supporting documents
 - **View chargeback compliance report** — allows Forter to monitor your chargeback ratios
4. List every merchant/reporting group Forter should cover, so Forter can see cases across all of your accounts
5. Email the completed form to Worldpay Customer Service at [ecommcustomercare@worldpay.com](mailto\:ecommcustomercare@worldpay.com)
6. Within 24 hours, Worldpay emails the new username to your main business contact and relays the temporary password separately by phone
7. Share the username and temporary password with Forter using the secure handoff described in **Final Step: Share Credentials with Forter** below

:::hint{type="info"}
Worldpay requires every iQ user to have their own account and will not create generic or shared accounts, so the Forter user must be requested as its own named user.
:::

:::hint{type="danger"}
Worldpay delivers the temporary password by phone to **your** main business contact — it never reaches Forter directly. This processor always requires the manual credential handoff, so plan to upload the credentials to your secure S3 folder once you receive them.

# Final Step: Share Credentials with Forter

Once you've created user accounts for Forter, most processors will automatically send an invitation email to [processors@forter.com](mailto\:processors@forter.com). The Forter Implementation team will complete the setup from there.

:::hint{type="danger"}
If a processor does **not** send an automatic invite, please manually generate login credentials for the Forter user. Save the credentials in a .txt file using the file naming convention "JCBR-yourSiteName-processorName" and [upload it securely to your S3 folder](https://portal.forter.com/app/integration/docs/secure-file-transfer). Once completed, notify your Forter Recoveries contact to validate access.
