overview forter’s chargeback recovery solution helps merchants automate and streamline the chargeback dispute process integration is structured around two primary components submit disputes forward chargeback or other claim details to forter, enabling us to match each claim to the original transaction and determine the appropriate response provide evidence upon request when forter recommends disputing a chargeback, merchants are asked to submit supporting documentation to build a compelling case for representment integration workflow at a glance initial setup to enable chargeback recovery, merchants must forward claims to forter using one of the supported methods (webhook, api, s3, or third party integration) establish processor access so forter can submit representments on your behalf when applicable provide available evidence types types of post purchase evidence your business can provide in response to chargebacks (e g , proof of delivery, customer correspondence, etc ) upload static evidence general pieces of evidence reused across all your disputes (e g , logo, purchase flow, terms and conditions) select business policies proving forter your business strategy so we can tailor our recommendations and dispute flows to your business needs (e g , dollar amount thresholds, evidence you can provide, level of automation) handling individual claims once initial set up is complete, and when forter determines that a chargeback should be disputed, we’ll request additional evidence from you we will notify you by either portal flag in the portal, in the chargeback recovery tab, it will show you what evidence is missing per chargeback and request you upload it request for evidence webhook technical integration required; forter notifies you of the evidence needed via webhook, and you can reply back with our evidence apis when a specific claim requires additional evidence, merchants can respond in one of the following ways via forter portal manually upload documents directly to the relevant claim via s3 + evidence api upload evidence files to your s3 bucket and notify forter through the evidence api
